Budget and Timetable

Total Budget for entire project: $600,000 (research, scripting, production, post-production, promotion and marketing; educational outreach; book subventure)

$150,000 already committed from state funds (Kentucky Commerce Cabinet)

$175,000 ($50,000 each from the Gheens Foundation, Kentucky Power, and the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives, Inc. and $25,000 from the NiSource Foundation.)

Researching and scripting are now complete for the film. We begin shooting key interviews this fall, with principal production in the spring 2009. Post-production of the film, along with preparation of educational outreach materials, and completion of companion book will be accomplished by the summer of 2010. We will have the finished film ready for broadcast no later than the fall of 2010.
